This semester’s English course has helped me grow a lot as a writer, especially through the Argument Solution and Rhetorical Analysis essays. These assignments taught me how to communicate ideas clearly and back them up effectively. One big thing I learned was how to structure an argument well. The Argument Solution essay taught me how to write a strong thesis and support it with solid evidence. For example, when writing about the depression social epidemic i was able to back up my argument effectively, this showed me how important it is to analyze sources carefully and use them to make my writing more convincing. The Rhetorical Analysis essay helped me focus on how writers connect with their audience. In this assignment, I looked at how the author used ways to persuade the audience and connect emotionally while talking about societal depression. Each writing assignment improved important skills like developing a thesis, organizing ideas, and advancing my writing style. The drafting and revising process was really helpful. Feedback from my peers and instructor showed me how to fix weak transitions or cut out unnecessary phrases. Making these changes improved my essays and made me a more efficient writer overall. The course also taught me how to adjust my writing for different audiences. I learned to balance my own voice with a formal tone for professional and academic readers. For example, in the Argument Solution essay, I kept my tone neutral while discussing a sensitive topic, choosing words carefully to stay respectful and clear. Overall, this course has been a big step forward for me. It gave me tools that I’ll use in both school and life, like building strong arguments and breaking down complicated ideas. By working through challenges and improving with each assignment, I’ve become a better writer and communicator.
